Vaccines, Ivermectin and Propaganda
You are not allowed to consider alternative therapies, no matter what. You either get the jab, or else, there is no other option.
Oh my….the level of fake news out there is at pandemic levels.
But fake news gives us an opportunity to learn about false information and how it is spread. I’m going to use a widely published story to illustrate just how lightning fast false information is spread throughout the world, thanks to news organizations that are far more interested in pushing political narratives than actual, useful information.
Most of us in the United States understand that national news is really just propaganda now-a-days. We are fed a narrative that the people in power want us to believe, and the narrative is all encompassing, no thing on this earth escapes it’s steady gaze, not even antiviral drugs that show signs of being very effective in fighting COVID-19. Any and all drugs that are not vaccines, are dissed with great regularity.
Here’s just a sample of what I’m talking about. This story is from CNN, published today, Monday, August 23, 2021:
Right-wing media pushed a deworming drug to treat Covid-19 that the FDA says is unsafe for humans
Even before we read the article, we can see the warning signs that we are about to read propaganda, not news. There are the usual dog whistles: “right-wing”, “deworming drug”, “unsafe for humans”. But, as we will soon find out, the “deworming drug” that is “unsafe for humans” is a drug that HAS BEEN USED by humans over 4 billions times. That drug is called Ivermectin.
A quote from the CNN article:
New York (CNN Business)Public health officials are aggressively dispelling claims by right-wing media personalities who have been promoting an anti-parasitic drug used for livestock as a potential Covid-19 treatment.
"You are not a horse. You are not a cow," the US Food and Drug Administration tweeted Saturday. "Seriously, y'all. Stop it."
Top conservative media personalities — including Fox News hosts Tucker Carlson, Sean Hannity, and Laura Ingraham — have mentioned ivermectin as a drug that could possibly be used to treat Covid-19.
This is part of a recent theme in right-wing media of attacking public health officials for promoting the highly effective coronavirus vaccines as the best path out of the pandemic instead of potential therapeutics to treat the virus.
Wow, four paragraphs in, and no mention of the drug in question. But we are informed, that the ONLY PEOPLE WHO ARE PUSHING IT are “top conservative media personalities”. No scientist, no doctors, no medical providers are involved here, just extreme right wing “media personalities”. Is that information true?
Finally, seven paragraphs in, CNN finally names the evil drug that we must avoid at all costs, as it’s not even an anti-viral!
The FDA has warned for months that ivermectin can be unsafe and has said that it has "received multiple reports of patients who have required medical support and been hospitalized after self-medicating with ivermectin intended for horses." While there are human uses for ivermectin, the FDAhas not approved it for treatment or prevention of Covid-19 in humans and the drug is not an anti-viral medication.
Yes, the evil drug that is killing people left and right is ivermectin. As CNN and the FDA points out, the drug is for only use with horses. But is that information true?
SOME BACKGROUND INFORMATION ABOUT IVERMECTIN
Here is some publicly available information I pulled directly from a source called Wikipedia. As of Monday, August 23, 2021, this it what a Wikipedia article simple titled “ivermectin” had to say:
Ivermectin, sold under the brand name Stromectol among others, is a medication that is used to treat parasite infestations.[6][7] In humans, this includes head lice, scabies, river blindness (onchocerciasis), strongyloidiasis, trichuriasis, ascariasis, and lymphatic filariasis.[6][8][9][10] In veterinary medicine, it is used to prevent and treat heartworm and acariasis, among other indications.[9] It can be taken by mouth or applied to the skin for external infestations.[6][11]
Common side effects include fever, itching, and skin rash when taken by mouth,[6] and red eyes, dry skin, and burning skin when used topically for head lice.[12] It is unclear if it is safe for use during pregnancy, but is probably acceptable for use during breastfeeding.[13] It belongs to the avermectin family of medications.[6] It works through many mechanisms of action that result in death of the targeted parasites.[6]
Ivermectin was discovered in 1975 and came into medical use in 1981.[14][15] It is on the World Health Organization's List of Essential Medicines.[16] Ivermectin is FDA-approved as an antiparasitic agent.[17] In 2018, it was the 420th most commonly prescribed medication in the United States, with more than one hundred thousand prescriptions.[18]
And here is some very interesting history about Ivermectin:
The avermectin family of compounds was discovered by Satoshi Ōmura of Kitasato University and William Campbell of Merck. In 1970, Ōmura isolated unusual Streptomycesbacteria from the soil near a golf course along the south east coast of Honshu, Japan.[7] Ōmura sent the bacteria to William Campbell, who showed that the bacterial culture could cure mice infected with the roundworm Heligmosomoides polygyrus.[7] Campbell isolated the active compounds from the bacterial culture, naming them "avermectins" and the bacterium Streptomyces avermitilis for the compounds' ability to clear mice of worms (in Latin: a 'without', vermis 'worms').[7] Of the various avermectins, Campbell's group found the compound "avermectin B1" to be the most potent when taken orally.[7] They synthesized modified forms of avermectin B1 to improve its pharmaceutical properties, eventually choosing a mixture of at least 80% 22,23-dihydroavermectin B1a and up to 20% 22,23-dihydroavermectin B1b, a combination they called "ivermectin".[7][60]
Ivermectin was introduced in 1981.[61] Half of the 2015 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine was awarded jointly to Campbell and Ōmura for discovering avermectin, "the derivatives of which have radically lowered the incidence of river blindness and lymphatic filariasis, as well as showing efficacy against an expanding number of other parasitic diseases".[62]
By 1986, ivermectin was registered for use in 46 countries and was administered massively to cattle, sheep and other animals.[63] Ivermectin was approved for human use in 1988.[64] Ivermectin earned the title of "wonder drug" for the treatment of nematodes and arthropod parasites.[65] Ivermectin has been used safely by hundreds of millions of people to treat river blindness and lymphatic filariasis.[66]
This is a very important bit of TRUE INFORMATION: the drug Ivermectin did, in fact, win the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine in 2015 for it’s ability to SAFELY and EFFECTIVELY kill parasites in HUMAN BEINGS. Not horses, though it was tried on horses before it was tried on humans. But the Nobel Prize was NOT awarded for the wonders it did with horses. The original animals it was tested on were not even horses, it was…..lab mice.
Upon the award of the NOBEL PRIZE to Ivermectin, this is what one of the SCIENTISTS, William C. Campbell had to say:
The results of our trials against various parasites in various animals suggested that ivermectin might be effective against several parasitic infections in humans. Being aware of the therapeutic needs in human parasitology, I had no doubt that the greatest potential for filling an unmet need was in River Blindness, which is caused by yet another species of Onchocerca—Onchocerca volvulus. The clinical exploration of possible ivermectin usage in humans could not be undertaken lightly; but nor could the prospect of an exceptional clinical benefit be dismissed lightly. Birnbaum and I took that message to the highest levels of Merck research management. It was an exciting moment for both of us. The head of Merck research at the time was Dr. Roy Vagelos—and he and his top advisers approved a trial of iver- mectin in humans. It would be a very cautious test of the efficacy of ivermectin in patients with the beginning stages of River Blindness—before any eye damage had occurred.
Someone should have told Dr. Campbell that Ivermectin was only for HORSES, and should never, ever be used on humans! The nerve of that guy! Oh, but things get even worse. Look what he says near the end of his NOBEL PRIZE LECTURE:
I now return to that mouse assay with which I began. The operation of that assay was obviously simple. But so was the principle! Thinking it up was a different matter—that was innovative thinking on the part of my colleagues; but the underlying scientific principle was simple. It was bizarre!—but simple. I have described it this way: You line up a series of individual infected mice. You treat each mouse with an unknown amount of an unknown substance that might not be there. Then you check to see if the treatment worked. It seems to fly in the face of what we are taught about science, with its well- regulated systems and its emphasis on measurement. But we need to understand that this, too, is well-regulated science. Empirical research has been the foun- dation of the discovery of antiparasitic agents (Figure 8). But “trial and error” research has in recent years been beaten into disrepute and desuetude. And when it is abandoned, we cannot know what price has been paid in “non-discovery.”
What?!?!? Discovery is about “trial and error” and using substances in unconventional ways???? Who does this guy think he is, some sort of Nobel Prize winning scientist whose discovery has cured HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS OF HUMAN BEINGS of parasites? My goodness! He needs to start watching CNN, and learn from the experts, like the FDA! (The FDA approved his drug for HUMAN usage…)
By the way, it’s not just CNN pushing this story. Here are some of the other names pushing the exact same narrative:
ABC
MSN
Daily Mail
USA Today
Fox News (!!!!!!)
MSNBC
NewsMax (!!!!!!)
Yes, that’s right, “right wing” news organizations are pushing the exact same narrative as the left wing news organizations! Oh my!
The problem is this: Ivermectin is available over-the-counter for use with horses and cattle. The only problem is, they are dosed for livestock consumption, not human consumption, and should not be used by humans. I had to read the Fox News version of the story to find out the TRUE INFORMATION.
BUT IS IVERMECTIN EFFECTIVE AGAINST COVID-19?
Despite propaganda to the contrary, Ivermectin has been given to millions of people around the world to help ward off COVID-19, and to lessen the symptoms of the disease once infected. But it wasn’t “right-wing” media personalities who started this effort, it was doctors and scientists in POOR COUNTRIES looking for a cost effective means of treating large numbers of people with a drug that has a very long record of being SAFELY USED ON HUMANS.
Would it help you to know that Ivermectin’s patent by Merck (BIG PHARMA!) had run out in 1996? So now, literally anyone with a chemistry can make Ivermectin, and the price of the drug is extremely low as a result. In other words, there’s literally no profit to be had by Big Pharma for the use Ivermectin. None.
Merck’s patent on Ivermectin expired in 1996 and they produce less than 5% of global supply. In 2020 they were asked to assist in Nigerian and Japanese trials but declined both. In 2021 Merck released a statement claiming that Ivermectin was not an effective treatment against Covid-19 and bizarrely claimed, “A concerning lack of safety data in the majority of studies” of the a drug they donated to be distributed in mass rollouts, by primary care workers, in mass campaigns, to millions in developing countries. The media reported the Merck statement as a blinding truth without looking at the conflict of interests when days later, Merck received $356m from the US government to develop an investigational therapeutic. The WHO even quoted Merck, as evidence, that it didn’t work, in their recommendation against the use of Ivermectin. It’s a dangerous world when corporate marketing determines public health policy. Global vaccine rollout, to everyone, is the policy.
The vaccine rollout is worth about $100bn in 2021, and there may well be annual updates to deal with new variants of COVID. The WHO answers to nobody but its’ funders. Less than 20% of its budget comes member states, the bulk coming from other sources. The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation is the second largest sponsor of the organisation. GAVI, a vaccine alliance, founded by Gates and WHO Director General Tedros Ghebreyesus, served on its board prior to his current position, is the fifth largest contributor.

But, back to the $64,000 question: does Ivermectin work against COVID-19? Well, a study sponsored by the World Health Organization had this to say:
In January this year, the several months long, Ivermectin research, meta-analysis of Randomised Control Trials (RCT), commissioned by WHO was released. The paper showed that Ivermectin reduces death by 74% and is 85% effective as prophylaxis. The trial leader, Dr Andrew Hill, was on Zoom meetings saying that governments should secure their source before demand outstrips supply and that it would be immoral, not to roll it out. The same month, two other independent, unsponsored meta-analysis confirmed a similar range of effectiveness at various stages of the disease. While effective at all stages of the disease, Ivermectin is most effective as a prophylaxis and about 80% in early treatment, depending on dose used.
Well, it seems Ivermectin mostly worked! 80% effective is far better than the vaccines, that’s for sure. But shouldn’t there be more studies done first?
There are now 27 RCT’s, about 7 meta -analysis and many observational trials, that show Ivermectin works. There is very little evidence that it doesn’t work. The WHO were very sparse in detail and process, in their recommendation against its use. New research from the All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS), on a group of over 3500 health care workers, using two doses of Ivermectin as prophylactic, reduced cases among health care workers by 83% in the following month. Mexico City has for several months been using a test and treat with Ivermectin strategy. A research paper by Mexico City Health, claims that, depending on dosing, they have reduced hospitalisations by 56-73%. India in its current destructive wave, has just taken the example set by its two most successful states, and authorised the use of Ivermectin in early treatment. Doctors who use it, swear by it. As for more proof, the Gates/Together trial is ongoing, but given Gates’s large investments in vaccines, its results, already mistrusted. In Goa they have just authorised giving Ivermectin to everyone who tests, not waiting for a result. If Ivermectin works, it should soon be clearly seen unless the “Ivermectin is dangerous” group wins.
And, for good measure, Dr. Andrew Hill talks about his research on YouTube:
THE BIGGEST ADVOCATE OF IVERMECTIN ISN’T EVEN RIGHT-WING
Two left-wing scientists, Bret Weinstein and Heather Heying, who are both evolutionary biologists, have been big fans of Ivermectin, and Bret readily admits taking it as a prophylactic.
Sadly, YouTube, along with a host of other BIG MEDIA organizations, have been waging a war against Ivermectin, because there is a very real conspiracy amongst the government and Big Media to push the vaccines ONLY. Any other possible treatment is sent down the memory hole, very literally. Bret and Heather talk about that very issue on their YouTube channel:
IT’S VACCINES OR NOTHING, YOU WILL COMPLY OR ELSE….
Also in today’s news, this headline from CNN: “Biden encourages Americans who have been waiting for full FDA approval to get their Covid vaccination: 'Get it today'“
I’m sure there’s NO CONNECTION between the two stories, none what-so-ever…
